FAQ

1) Will it work with my backboard? The Shootingstar will fit a rectangular shaped backboard all the way up to 72 inches wide, the ShootandStar rebounder is designed to work with almost any backboard. The only backboards that we have found that do not work with the ShootandStar rebounder are rectangular backboards that are made with an extra heavy duty frame(GREATER THAN 2& 5/8" FRAME DEPTH) at the top around the fiberglass backboard.

2) Can you practice short close in shots? YES, a simple adjustment of the net lets you practice close in shots with even more repetitions. This is especially great for young basketball players who also want to practice with the basket in a lower position.

3) How do you move the wings of the apparatus to position the net properly? All you have to do is pull the net's side ropes to move the wings into the position you need. Also, you will need to move the standards to their proper locations. You can use the 4 foot pieces of rope that attach to the round plastic bases to quickly and easily pull them into position.

4) Will the ShootandStar rebounder net catch and return every shot? NO- However, if you use the ShootandStar rebounder correctly, it should catch and return most shots back to you. If you are using the rebounder properly, all made shots should be returned directly to the shooter. A large percentage of missed shots will also be returned to the shooter especially those shot closer in to the basket. As you move to shooting from the side or further away from the basket, there is more of a chance that a shot might not be directly returned to the shooter.

5) Can I find the ShootandStar rebounder in stores or anywhere else? NO, the ShootandStar rebounder is ONLY SOLD ON THIS WEBSITE! Sporting Advantage Inc. has made a decision to eliminate the cost of middlemen and to market this product in the most cost efficient way possible.

6) How difficult is it to assemble and use? The apparatus portion of the ShootandStar rebounder can be easily assembled in just minutes. There are 4 flathead screws and nuts that can be tightened by hand to attach all five parts of the apparatus together. For fan shaped backboards, you will need a wrench and pliers to tighten the four bolts, lockwashers, and nuts to attach an extra support piece to the apparatus.

You will probably need a ladder. The clamps that hold the middle channel of the apparatus to the top of your backboard can be tightened by hand. The first time you use the apparatus, you will need to use scissors to customize the net for your backboard. The vinyl sleeves of the net have Velcro to attach and detach the net to the wings of the apparatus. Everything else is easy to do and your basketball player is ready to practice shooting!

7) How long will it take to ship? We will try to ship your order as soon as possible. Everything will be shipped UPS ground. Most products will be shipped within 3 days. If you do not receive your ShootandStar rebounder within 2 weeks, you can email us at Shipment Questions? . We will try to give you an update on your order as quickly as we can.

8) How difficult is it to put the ShootandStar rebounder away? It is pretty easy- there are three ways to store the ShootandStar rebounder when it is not in use. The easiest method is to simply pull the net behind the basket with the wings parallel and even with the backboard.

If you don't want the net up- using a ladder- you can quickly release the Velcro attached sleeves of the net, then simply slide in the wings of the apparatus and the ShootandStar rebounder stores compactly out of the way on top of the backboard. Don't want anything left out- you can untighten the clamps by hand that hold the apparatus to the backboard and quickly put it away.
