Product Specification
1. VERTICAL POLE - Vertical pole shall be one-piece 4" square (sectional posts
not considered equal) with a minimum 11 gauge wall thickness and allow for
burying 36" in concrete. Posts with thinner wall thickness are not considered
equal. Posts intended to be buried less than 36" are not considered equal. Pole
shall have a watertight vinyl cap to seal out moisture.
2. EXTENSION ARM - Main 45 degree extension arm tube shall be 2"x3" rectangular
11 gauge wall steel tubing and provide for a 24" extension from front of pole to
face of backboard. Extension arm shall be constructed to allow rim bolts to pass
through backboard and directly into extension arm for strength and player
safety. Extension arm shall be secured to vertical post by means of two 4" zinc
plated U-bolts. Additionally, two 1" round backboard braces shall support upper
corners of the backboard.
3. CONSTRUCTION - All steel pole components shall be welded using maximum
penetration, continuous weld, MIG procedure.
4. FINISH - Pole components shall have a polyester powder-coated black finish.
5. BACKBOARD - Backboard shall be 36"x 48" rectangular acrylic (3/8" thick).
Backboard shall be framed with a 1/8" thick anodized aluminum framework. Board
shall have bright white 2" boarder and official shooters square screened on the
backside to eliminate wear.
6. RIM - Flexible type so as to absorb the stress of player contact. The rim
shall be of institutional quality with an official 5/8" diameter ring. Ring
opening diameter shall be the standard 18" I.D. Rim shall have an orange powder
coated finish. Heavy-duty nylon net shall be provided.
7. WARRANTY - Pole, backboard, and standard rim shall carry a Lifetime Limited
Warranty. Entire system weight shall be approximately 145#.
Limited Warranty:
Covers any damage caused by normal basketball activity and normal player contact
with the goal. "Normal basketball activity" and "Normal player contact" shall be
described as any action that is necessary for participation in the game of
basketball. Deliberate hanging on the rim, multiple player hanging, and
vandalism are not covered under the Limited Warranty.
